The dream car of my grandfather's youth was the Triumph TR7, a beauty sitting with a "for sale" sign through the duration of my life. Referencing byzantine paintings of sacred individuals in history and shapes used in Roman Catholic rose-windows, I designed a halo with elements from the hubcap of the Triumph. The car functions as a symbol for the values of the culture that surrounded my grandfather in his youth, which carried to make an impression on my taste for cars. Simultaneously, it functions as a symbol for our self-directed beliefs that occur over the transference of generations. Because the car had a different value to the world around me as I grew older, it's power could not be inherited the way it was initially passed on, similar to how the church has transformed throughout centuries and craft apprentices. All materials used were found scrap.
